Michelle Heath, CMO

Michelle Heath, VP of MarketingMichelle knows a thing or two about social networks and what makes them tick. She’s a social media maven – frequent blogger, Tweeter and Facebooker. At Currensee, she’s known as the marketing chick and spends her time giving the team her two cents worth to improve the social aspects of the product, grow the network of Currensee members and drive revenue.  Mmmm.  Revenue.

She’s a big-company-turned-start-up girl who spent over 15 years doing the well-known financial services company thing. She was part of the deal team responsible for the sale of J.P. Morgan’s brokerage business to E*TRADE Financial for $1.6B in 2005. Those were the days. She also did time at Fidelity and Manulife Financial but after some political burn-out, she went start-up. In 2007, she joined matchmine, a media discovery start-up, where she ran all aspects of marketing including brand development, user and partner acquisition, community-building, PR and events. She also worked as a strategic partner at Monitor Marketspace and held a board seat at the Mass Innovation & Tech Exchange 2003-2005.

Michelle graduated from Boston University School of Management. She lives in Boston, has a love for style and hip-hop and is learning how to play guitar (but hasn’t quit her day job yet). Read her blog here, follow her on Twitter here and follow Currensee on Twitter here.
