Marcie Smith, VP of Client Services

Marcie Smith, Director of Trading ExperienceAs Vice President of Client Services, Marcie delivers the best service possible to Currensee clients. Her team is responsible for ensuring that clients receive a consistently positive experience and she works hard to make it happen. Marcie is also a key contributor to Currensee product improvements and new features and is able to feed first-hand client experiences into the product development process.

Marcie brings more than 15 years of experience in leading and managing technical support and customer service operations for organizations from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups. Before joining Currensee, Marcie was Senior Director of Member Services and Operations at Upromise, the largest and most successful coalition loyalty program in the United States. She and her team supported Upromise members from the company’s pre-launch days up and including a member base of over 10 million, nearly nine years later.

Prior to Upromise, Marcie was Marketing Manager at MBNA America, later acquired by Bank of America, the world’s largest independent credit card issuer. At MBNA, Marcie managed teams within marketing, operations, and compliance. It was with MBNA that Marcie fully adopted the company motto “Think of Yourself as the Customer” that she still lives by today.

Marcie received her BA in Sociology from the University of Maine.
