Chuck Badavas, Chief Financial Officer
Chuck is the numbers guy and doubles as the admin, at least for now. In addition to ordering office furniture and writing checks, he is responsible for keeping the financial ship in order and helping the business grow efficiently. He has made a career of helping enable companies deliver extraordinary results and brings his keen eye for creativity and innovation to Currensee.
Prior to Currensee, Chuck was CFO, of Rakuten USA, a subsidiary of Rakuten Japan, the largest internet and e-commerce company in Japan. US operations include Cause Loyalty, a provider of loyalty marketing to benefit schools and non-profit organizations; and LinkShare, a pioneer in affiliate marketing.
Before Rakuten, Chuck was a financial services guy. He spent many years with Fidelity Investments, supporting technology organizations in both their Systems and Retail companies. He moved from Fidelity to INET, the electronic trading arm of Instinet where he helped grow the business before it was sold to The Nasdaq Stock Market. As if that wasn’t enough, Chuck also helped grow the business at Thomson Financial where he held the post of SVP of Financial Operations.
Chuck began his career at General Electric where he completed the Financial Management Program before serving in both the Power Generation and Aircraft Engine business units. He also served in the Management Consulting Group at Arthur D. Little, Inc.
Chuck received his BS in Finance from Boston College (go Eagles!) and his MBA from The Tuck School. When he’s not building a waterfall model or combing through a spreadsheet, Chuck is an avid sports enthusiast and he and his wife of 25 years love to travel to warm places with pink sand. Doesn’t that sound nice?
